Not to be confused with bubblegum act Thiza, Thisha gained popularity by adding some fresh youth appeal to the Soul Brothers' brand of mbaqanga - smooth Zulu vocal harmonies over driving rhythms, killer synths and tasteful maskandi riffs. It's far from the American-influenced bubblegum of the day, along with the likes of Imitshotshovu. Titles here include 'Ubandlululo' (discrimination), 'Izolo' (yesterday) and 'Izenzo Zakho' (your actions).
